At just 13 years old, swimmer Amy Marren became one of the youngest athletes for Team GB at the 2012 London Paralympics.

Despite failing to win a medal, Marren, now 17, plans on changing that for Team GB this September. Swimming since the age of four, the Newham born athlete is the British record holder in the 200m backstroke and the 800m freestyle in the S9 classification, all while balancing her school and social life. Marren was also named Sky Disability Sports Person of the Year in 2013 after winning four gold medals and two silvers at the IPC Swimming World Championships in Montreal.
